Heat cramps: How to get rid of them
Heat cramps are painful, involuntary muscle spasms that usually occur during heavy exercise in hot environments. Heat cramps often strike the calves, arms, abdomen and back. If you think you have heat cramps, rest briefly and cool down. Drink clear juice or an electrolyte-containing sports drink. Gently stretch and massage the affected muscle group. If your cramps don't go away in an hour, call your doctor.
