Ingredients
- Lemonade, frozen concentrate cup 3/4
- Catsup cup 1/4
- Sugar, brown tablespoon 3
- Vinegar, white (distilled) tablespoon 3
- Ginger, ground teaspoon 1/4
- Soy sauce teaspoon 1
- Paprika teaspoon 1/4
- Chili powder teaspoon 1/4
- Garlic powder teaspoon 1/4
- Onion powder teaspoon 1/4
- Thyme, dried, ground teaspoon 1/4
- Basil, ground, dry teaspoon 1/4
- Oregano, ground (dried) teaspoon 1/4
- Salt teaspoon 1/4
- Pepper, black, ground teaspoon 1/4
- Chicken, broilers or fryers, whole, raw -- cut into 8 pieces lb 2 1/4
- Flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, bleached cup 1/2
- Oil, safflower cup 1/4
Methods/steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the lemonade concentrate, catsup, brown sugar, vinegar, ginger, soy sauce and seasonings.
- Dredge the chicken in the flour.
- Heat the oil in a large kettle or Dutch oven; brown the chicken.
- Drain any excess oil.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken, cook over low heat for 35-40 minutes covered.
